Artisan Story :

The artisans of this product is based from the Asharikandi Cluster of the Dhubri district. ASHARIKANDI is popularly known as the ‘terracotta village of Assam’. Asharikandi situated 2,500 km east of pre historic Harappan civilization, but provides an evidence of an intangible and unbroken link of terracotta heritage of the prehistoric sites of Indus Valley Civilization. Hundred years old modern terracotta craft of Asharikandi is undergoing constant changes and facing a lot of challenges on its daily basis.
