Brass starts here as a flat sheet. The shape is marked out, cut by hand, then filed and burnished until each edge catches the light. Nothing is cast or moulded, so the small irregularities along a cut edge are the record of the hand that made it.
A single wire wound flat into a tight spiral, hung from a darkened hook. The oldest form in the collection and the most tactile.
Brass warms against the skin and deepens in tone the longer it is worn.
Solid brass, handmade and built to last. Keep away from water and perfume to slow tarnishing. Wipe with a soft dry cloth; a light patina is natural and can be polished back if you prefer the brighter finish.
