The Cloudy Sky Choker Set gathers beads in the soft greys, whites, and washed blues its name suggests, the colours of an overcast morning. Each strand is hand-strung, one bead at a time, by women artisans in My E-Haat's jewellery cluster. The palette is deliberately quiet.

Then comes the stringing. Each bead is placed by hand onto the thread in the planned order, the count kept even so both sides of the choker mirror. This is slow work. The tension has to stay steady or the strand will not sit flat at the throat.
The set is matched last. The earrings are strung to echo the choker's palette, and the piece is finished with its clasp and checked for a clean close. Small differences from one set to the next are the signature of hand-work, not a flaw.
