A hand block print is made one impression at a time. The printer inks a carved wooden block, sets it against the cloth, strikes it, lifts, moves along, and repeats until the length is covered. Every motif arrived that way, individually placed by eye.
Botanical butas are printed across a seafoam ground and closed with a woven zari edge. The pale ground shows every variation in dye load, which is the clearest evidence that each impression was placed by hand.

Slight colour and weave variations are natural, reflecting its handmade character. Hand wash separately in cold water with mild detergent. Do not bleach. Dry in shade and iron on reverse at low-medium heat.
